According to the mainstream media, about 4,500 people have contracted coronavirus (2019-nCoV) thus far, and another 100 have died. But these are just the official numbers, which one nurse says grossly underrepresent the actual number of cases, which is closer to 90,000.
In a video she posted online, this nurse stated that in the Hubei Province where Wuhan is located, nearly 100,000 people have contracted coronavirus – a figure nearly 22 times higher than what the communist Chinese government is claiming.
A second nurse put up a similar video – both videos are available for viewing at The Gateway Pundit – that, while unconfirmed, corroborates the claims made by the first nurse.
Responding to these claims, a Chinese publication known as Renwu published a report blaming shortages and bureaucracy for the disparity in numbers between what the government is saying and what these nurses are saying.
Meanwhile, video footage continues to emerge showing people collapsing in the streets and panicking at empty grocery stores in China as coronavirus ravages the communist nation.
“Provinces are being locked down, roads are blocked with berms and large concrete blocks, travel being restricted and pop-up hospitals are being constructed,” writes Kristinn Taylor for The Gateway Pundit.
One such hospital pop-up began construction on January 23, and once completed will have 25,000 square meters of space and 1,000 beds. This hospital is expected to be in operation by February 3.
Over in Wuhan, government officials have reportedly banned all private vehicles from entering the urban core.

As for the official infection and death numbers, reports are emerging to suggest that the communist Chinese government is keeping a lid on the truth by limiting the supply of diagnostic testing kits.
According to The Epoch Times, these diagnostic kits are only being provided to certain “qualifying hospitals,” and in quantities that are inadequate for the number of patients being admitted.
“Medical personnel at these hospitals have said that the number of kits they are supplied is less than 10 percent of what they need to test patients,” this report explains.
Researchers from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) have come to a similar conclusion, estimating that at least 44,000 people are already infected with coronavirus.
Here in the United States, the official number of coronavirus cases remains relatively low, but is increasing by the day. Thus far, there are five confirmed cases, according to the government: one in Washington state, one in Arizona, one in Illinois, and two in California.
As of January 28, however, the mainstream media is reporting that the number of coronavirus cases more than doubled overnight, jumping 60 percent. The U.S. has since expanded its screening protocols for travelers coming from Wuhan into 20 different ports of entry, up from five previously.
“Right now, there is no spread of this virus in our communities at home,” stated Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during a recent press briefing.
“The coming days and weeks are likely to bring more cases including the possibility of person-to-person spread,” he added. “Our goal is to contain this virus and prevent sustained spread of the virus in our country.”
As of this writing, the World Health Organization (WHO) still hasn’t declared the coronavirus outbreak to be a global pandemic, but that could change in the coming days.
